Quick study using toon shader (and facing ratio nodes to create those highlights/streaks). I had planned to render a contour pass too but I ended up liking the look without the outlines!
I recently started production on my senior thesis, and I'm rendering it in a hand drawn, 2D kind of style, which is great because I really had no clue how to achieve a look like that... Well at least until recently. The past few months I've been focusing more on a lot of look development stuff, especially with surface and toon shaders and baked lighting, and I'm honestly in love with them.
